Oshi no Ko Manga Ending Date Officially Announced (2025)

Oshi no Ko is ending its run after four years of brilliantly written dramatic explorations of show business, and its conclusion is coming sooner than fans perhaps realized. According to the official Oshi no Ko X (formerly Twitter) account, the manga will finish after four more chapters on November 14, 2024, with a brief one-week hiatus before the next chapter set for Wednesday, October 23, 2024. The series will conclude Oshi no Ko's final arc set in motion this year, and with the latest chapter ending on a cliffhanger, Oshi no Ko fans will be waiting for the conclusion on the edge of their seats.

Oshi no Ko has also just concluded its acclaimed second season of the anime, with the series still pacing for multiple additional seasons before the show's conclusion to follow the manga's. The series has garnered adoration for its faithful and gorgeous adaptation of Akasaka and Yokoyari's creation, as well as creating an impressive multimedia footprint including hit songs and merchandise. While Oshi no Ko might be ending soon with its manga's final four chapters, fans will have to wait a bit longer to see who winds up having a happy ending, if anyone.

Now that Oshi no Ko's Big Mystery Is Solved, What's Left for the Manga's Final Four Chapters?

Loose Ends Getting Addressed in Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari's Iconic Series

While the identity and motives of those who conspired to kill Ai and those who would surpass her in Oshi no Ko have largely been solved, there remains the question of whether Aqua will end up living to tell the tale. Given that the series is a revenge story, especially in light of chapter #162's ominous conclusion, it's uncertain who will end up living and dying in the series. However, Oshi no Ko appears to have multiple questions poised to be answered in its final four chapters upon Aqua's keen reflection from chapter #161.

Starting from Oshi no Ko chapter #163, fans will soon get the answers to whether Aqua will pursue his ambitions to become a heart surgeon and if he'll be able to make time for his loved ones. There's the matter of self-reflection with Taiki, acknowledging Miyako as the mother figure she is, repaying Akane for her selflessness, acknowledging Kana's feelings, and seeing Ruby perform at the Dome. Given Ai's fate in the days before such a performance in Oshi no Ko, this stokes worried anticipation for what the chapters could be.

Oshi no Ko Could Lose Its Beating Heart in the End

Fans Have a Sinking Feeling

The most pressing concern for fans waiting on the final four chapters of Oshi no ko is who lives and dies, with Aqua's fate being left on a cliffhanger in chapter #163. In many ways, his initial driving force is definitively addressed, so fans could reasonably believe this to be his last appearance; yet, a happy note would be a welcome change of pace for the character, who worked tirelessly to help others. As noted by Kana Arima, Aqua wanted to become a heart surgeon in Oshi no Ko because helping people is in his nature.

With the root of Aqua's malice put to rest and the other developing surprise of another killer quickly resolved, Aqua has a chance for peace in the final chapters of Oshi no Ko. Many fans would love to see who Aqua chooses over Kana or Akane, and whether he carries out his ambitions to live a life resembling his former self. But with the eerie mystery of Aqua, Hikaru, and Ruby's eyes being resolved, with the answer being love, it's a question of who will be left to love in the end of Oshi no Ko.
