Rated 5 out of 5 by Rcp67 from For my pastor I have used this yarn before to make a throw for my bestie. She loved it! Now I'm making my pastor a sweater 🙌🏾

Rated 2 out of 5 by Melisa K from Inconsistent thickness I bought 3 skiens of each of the white and denim. The thickness is very inconsistent, which affected the tension on my project. I also had issues with being able to find starting end for center pull, ended up with a quarter of the ball coming out as yarn barf. I will definitely not be wasting my money on this yarn again.

Rated 3 out of 5 by kaijuAim from So many KNOTS It’s decent yarn , soft and squishy has a weird waxy feel . Making a blanket and there’s just too many knots and it’s very annoying

Rated 3 out of 5 by Anonymous from The yarn to make beautiful things I bought a white and pink skein. The white worked perfectly but the pink had to be unraveled and re wound. I made a beautiful pink and white baby afghan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by KIETSA from AFGHANS FOR ALL! I like making afghans with Pound of Love because it's softer than most. I use two strands so it's a substantial blanket. I've been making them for my buyers and sellers (I sell real estate), and they're always so surprised and pleased. Now and then one of the skeins has way too many knots, which I found very frustrating and disappointing, but overall, it beats Red Heart.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jenna266 from Superficially nice If you are a center pull crocheter and enjoy detangling hundreds of yards of yarn buy this. Too much money for having to put hours into detangling it so I can work on my project.

FAQs

Is acrylic yarn the same as worsted? ›

That's 100% acrylic yarn, marked as worsted weight, medium weight, or number 4. (Outside North America, it may also be called 10 ply or aran weight.) That makes it sound pretty locked down, and that any yarn you choose that fits those requirements will be exactly the same.

Worsted / Medium

How good is acrylic yarn? ›

Acrylic yarn fibers are smooth and havelow friction. This allows the yarn to slide easily through the fabric, resulting in clean stitches. In addition, acrylic yarn is less likely to split than other types of yarn, which also helps keep stitches neat.

What is a good substitute for acrylic yarn? ›
